Confidence:

Wintry showers will continue on Sunday around northern and eastern Scotland and the eastern side of England, around coastal areas. Falling as snow on hills and a mix of rain, sleet and snow to lower levels. Icy stretches. Small accumulations of 1-3cm below 200m, around 8cm above.

An area of precipitation will track North West to South East throughout the day with the risk of snow here. 1-4cm below 150m. This COULD start to dissipate around London. Eastern and southern extent uncertain hence we’ve stopped short of issuing a higher level here.

After rain, sleet and snow temperatures are likely to drop very quickly under clear skies. Roads could become treacherous by morning with widespread ice.
