This summary of UK snowfall has been augmented with information from additional sources and brought up to date as of 2023. Each winter snowfall has been classified as 'little', 'average', 'snowy' or 'very snowy' depending on the amount of snow and how it fell. The data dates back to 1875-76 to present day.

1975-76 Feb 4.6 Little DJ 12th Dec. 1-2nd Jan., 24-26th Jan. A noteworthy mention would be JUNE when snow fell in many parts of the country. Sleet and snow were reported in East Anglia, the Midlands and even penetrated as far south as the London area. This was the first time since 1888 that snow and sleet had been reported as widely so far south during the summer.
